Greg Koukl addresses confusion surrounding Christian Zionism by distinguishing between theological commitments and political expectations. He argues that while Scripture affirms Israel’s enduring role and God’s faithfulness to his promises, Christians are not obligated to support every modern policy or political stance. Instead, believers should hold a balanced view that honors God’s covenant while allowing moral critique of Israel’s actions.

In Genesis, Israel didn’t even exist yet.. the blessing was to Abraham, and Jesus is the seed of Abraham. Not to mention, what/ who designates someone as an Israelite/ Jew today? Many aren’t even religious and are actually atheist, and many are not even genetic descendants. So how do we know as Christians who we are supposed to be supporting? Especially witnessing the behavior of said people in the current nation of Israel. They are not only oppressing Palestinians, but Christian’s as well- bombing churches, attacking Christian people and leaders. They set up camp at high places to watch and celebrate bombing if Gaza like a spectator sport. I’m sorry but I won’t take part in supporting that.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below?

Who is the King of Israel in John 1:48-49? Is this King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are the members His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? What did the Apostle Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8 and 3:16? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-37 in blood at Calvary? If the New Covenant is "everlasting" in Hebrews 13:20 and the Old Covenant is "obsolete" in Hebrews 8:13, why would any Christian believe God is going back to the Old Covenant system during a future time period?

Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary.

Paul told us to avoid "divisions" in the Church in his first letter to the church at Corinth. In Ephesians 1:12-13 Paul said a person must "hear" the Gospel, and "believe" the Gospel and then be "sealed" with the Holy Spirit. What did Peter reveal in Acts 11:15-16? John baptized with water. Jesus Christ baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

God is not now a “racist”. He has extended His love to all races of people through the New Covenant fulfilled by His Son’s blood at Calvary. The Apostle Paul warned against using “genealogies” in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9.

What is the location of the "temple of God" in the Book of Revelation? The answer is revealed in Rev. 3:12 and Rev. 11:19 in heaven, and not in the wicked city found in Rev. 11:8. This temple is located in the same city promised to the Old Testament Saints in Hebrews 11:13-16 and also described in Hebrews 12:22-24.

Believers are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. They are come instead to the new covenant church of Mount Sion and the blood of Jesus in Hebrews 12:22-24.

Read Luke 24:25-27 if you want to know who is the "key" to Bible prophecy. How many modern Christians are found in verse 25 of the passage, instead of verse 27? Any doctrine that takes the focus off of Christ, and puts it anywhere else, cannot be from God.

Modern Orthodox Jews claim their ancestry comes through the mother's side of the family, instead of the father's side as in the Bible. They are not following the Old Covenant marriage laws in Numbers chapter 36. Therefore, the genetically pure twelve tribes of Israel are now like the Woolly Mammoth. Their religion uses the Babylonian Talmud as the ultimate source of truth, instead of the Old Testament Hebrew scriptures. The Talmud claims Jesus is the illegitimate son of Mary and a Roman soldier named Pantera. Nobody alive on earth today is a “Jew” based on the Book of Numbers, and nobody alive on earth today is following the Law of Moses.

There is no covenant obligation in affirming modern day Israel. Israel does not have a rightful claim. Rather, they have a rightful inheritance in Christ, their Messiah. Yet, they willfully reject that inheritance. Woe to them.

You believe Replacement theology even if you don’t admit it. We don’t go to temple we go to Church. We don’t sacrifice animals, we partake in communion and trust in Christ’s’ sacrifice, we don’t circumcise our children, we baptize them. The covenant to God’s people was fulfilled in Christ. All who don’t trust in Christ are damned to hell, including and especially the Jews for they killed and reject their own Messiah.

The nation, the blessings, the covenant, the promise is not physical, it is spiritual. Israel is fulfilled in the Church.

There is absolutely no justification for Zionism of any kind. In revelation chapters 2 and three, the Jewish movement, in various forms, religious or political, is called the synagogue of Satan. That is a quasi permanent historical reality. We cannot be for a group that spits on Christians, persecute Christians, blows up Christians, drives out Christians, all of which Christ said he would take personally because he considers it done to him personally any Christian who believes in Zionism is believing in an antichrist movement against the kingdom of God.

I find it very sad that someone can spend their whole life reading the Bible and still be tricked into thinking the people who killed Jesus and wrote the Talmud are what they claim to be and not obvious imposters and apostates. Pray for discernment

    "I'm not sure if I"m like Haggee…"

    "No, you're much more intelligent."

That's like saying that an Abrams tank is more powerful than a BB gun! 😁

Then there's also the fact that Haggee is a two-bit con artist and a heretic, but I digress….

3:21 This promise is NOT for every Israelite, nor for every descendant of Abraham. The promise went to Isaac not Ishmael, and Jacob not Esau. Why? "Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were based on works." Romans 9:32

On the other hand, Gentiles are grafted into God's people and are under that same promise that God gave to Abraham. But Gentiles must be careful, lest they too become cut off from God's people. Romans 11:11-24

So then what is the difference between God's people and not God's people? What's the difference between under God's promise to Abraham and not under the promise?

The difference is whether you're an ethnic Jew, or a religious Jew, or a national Jew. It's FAITH. True faith in the one true God.

Abraham believed and it was counted to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:6 and Romans 4:3

I love how Greg uses the Jesus-like engagement of asking questions: “What do you mean by Christian Zionism?” . . . “What do you think would happen if Israel laid down their arms?”

This exposes the heart of the issue.

What covenant was not fulfilled in Christ? What is so confusing about “It is finished”? It is blasphemous to suggest there is some Plan B carve out for a certain group.

When Jesus said: " Behold, your house is left unto you desolate." He wasn't speaking of a temporary condition.

Christians should be Zionists because we worship the Triune God who is a Zionist. YHWH has made it very clear.

20:22 people did complain about Pakistan being carved off of India. Like all the time to this day non stop and it’s why you have 2 nuclear powers that sometimes still go to war sitting right next to each other. And yeah it was colonial in nature. Britain we’re the ones drawing the lines while it was a colony

As a European Christian so called “Christian Zionism” is an entirely foreign concept. It’s an American gospel.

    Nicely handled Greg.

The caller didn’t really get into the weeds behind his question but I can tell you that right now evangelicals are getting major backlash from the likes of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owen, Eastern Orthodox, the Catholic apologists, etc.

They’re fomenting doubts on evangelicals theology relative to dispensation and they’re pushing replacement theology which they call fulfillment Theology. This is getting a lot of traction. You got a bunch Protestants converting Orthodox so there’s alot going on.
