I was a baby Christian when my daughter came out to me. Then a few years later she asked for my 12 year old to play a big part in her wedding. Her father and I told her we would not be allowing our daughter to be exposed to this ceremony condoning celebrating her sin. She hasn't talked to us since. Although we are hurt, we continue to pray for healing and communication.

God creates some people gay and that is medically proven. Being gay is NOT a choice. I was a Baptist Pastor and missionary. Married to my accepting wife for 51 years and cared for her with MS for 26 years before she passed. Solution – LEARN what the original Hebrew and Greek ACTUALLY says about homosexuality. I am gay. God created me gay and its OK. Nothing is wrong. Nothing needs to be fixed or cured. eg The WHOLE POINT of Romans 1 is Romans 2:1 "You therefore have no excuse, you who pass judgement on someone else." There is so MUCH more in scripture.

You cannot pray the gay away. It doesn't work! Religion is sooo pathetic when it comes to gay people.

I love how you don't describe punishing your children for choosing to be comfortable as a homosexual or an athiest.👍

We are not deaf to the cries 😭💔 of the parents. If we hear them, we know the Lord hears them. Holy Spirit comfort them, it was expedient that you came. Deliver my sons from homosexualties, Holy Spirit amen. Matthew 8:8, James 5:15, Galatians 6:9 amen 🙏🏽.

as a queer teen who grew up mormon, I think you are speaking about it wrong. The worst experience of my life is when i came out to my parents, hoping that theyd accept me and comfort me and tell me itll be okay. They, instead, took away my door, isolated me from people i felt comfortable with, forced me into tight dresses that made me want to cry, and they would show me my own naked body in the mirror, telling me that god made me this way, that i was evil for wanting anything else. I didnt need to be told that i was evil, i didnt need to be thrust in such bad depression that i hurt myself, and almost did much worse. nobody ever needs that. I needed for somebody to give me a hug and tell me that they loved me, i didnt need for oil to be placed on my head, i didnt need to be prayed over.

there are a lot of things wrong with me, but my sexuality or gender is not one of them. and to any queer teens reading this, please know that you are loved. If not by anybody else, then by me. and if you need somebody to talk to, reply here and ill talk. on anything. Ill give you my discord, ig, ANYTHING. youve got this, everybody.

Rosaria offers some very wise counsel here. These are the words of a women who is in touch with the grace of God, and who knows the deep rooted realities of lesbianism.
She is very pastoral and objective in her counsel. This gives true hope to those who are facing the challenge and sorrow of a child who is in this lifestyle.
As a parent, one is so deeply involved it is hard to be objective, to stand back at see the hills beyond the fog.
Grace and peace be with all who are sowing in tears. 🙏🙏

Thank you for those words of wisdom. I pray that me and other parents that are witnesses of their child being away from the Lord, take refuge in the Lord and know that there are others praying and waiting for the Lord to move.

Our children are under attack right now. It seems especially teen girls that are becoming gay, trans, non-binary. Is it society and social media and those who feel they don't 'fit' into the popular are looking for another group they may fit better in? We all went through uncomfortable and awkward times as teenagers, but we had to work through it and we got through it. Nowadays though, they just don't seem to have the patience for it. Then you have all of the influences out there, forcing compliance with LGBTQ+ demands, and it is slowly becoming more accepted, even praised, by more and more people and groups. Whatever is going on, our children are being targeted by the enemy at an alarming rate and I just pray for them all.

When a child comes out as gay, they have been indoctrinated by an evil agenda. The lgbt.. movement is an evil movement that leads people astray. When did a “gay” boy decide he wanted to stick his manhood up another boys anus? It is unnatural our bodies weren’t meant for unnatural acts. We need to lovingly tell those that have been lead astray ,the only outcome is misery and death.

Love and accept her exactly as she is. Because God loves and accepts you exactly as you are, shortcomings and all. Let go of judgment and shame. Don’t waste another minute in disconnection and fear. Just love and accept.
