Critical race theory is a theoretical framework, rooted in Marxism, that posits individuals as oppressed or oppressor based on their skin color.
Beginning in the 1960s, higher education became permeated with critical theory. Critical theory, also rooted in Marxism, says that we must understand our beliefs—including on religion and politics—vis-a-vis the “means of production”; namely, businesses and industries. In this view, it’s in the business owners’ interest to create laws, social norms, and ideas that keep them in power.
Later on, this concept was applied to race, gender, and other identities. Critical race theorists see these identities as social constructs that support systems of oppression.
Regrettably, these theories have permeated higher education, the mainstream media, and, most recently, the responses to Floyd’s killing in the custody of Minneapolis police officers.

Rufo, like Carlson, is a troll. Whites know the privilege they own and use whether it is derived from social norms or embedded in their habitual way of dealing with race relations in this country. CRT is an academic theory with no relation to Marx. We should all learn all American history, not just the whitewashed, simplified version, but the history of the policies and mechanisms used to relegate black Americans to second class citizenship from slavery to Jim Crow to Civil Rights backlash to Mass Incarceration to today with none of the benefits afforded whites. Why would anyone not want to know the history of the country they happen to be living in, and why would anyone not want their children to learn a full accounting of our history? Staying stupid forever?

Funny how these people who support BLM and their ilk, say they fight against racism, but end up being racist themselves. Also, in case young clueless communists never heard about it, Karl Marx and Engels were quite racist. So racist and vulgar that they managed to get a young son in law who was half cuban to kill himself because of the constant harassment. When someone says they are communists, I usually understand that they are not educated. I lived under a communist dictatorship for almost half of my life, and from my point of view, anyone born in the US is privileged , regardless of color or income.
